Our home is a Tuscan design. This fountain will be placed in our back area against a faux painted stucco wall providing both a visual and audio ambiance to the area. The dimensions of the piece are perfect and the price is very reasonable.

By the photo it appears to match our backyard colors and the size is perfect (hopefully) for the empty space we have. Love fountains, and this will be our first.

Is this fountain free standing or must it be placed against something?
Charlotte P on Aug 14, 2018
BEST ANSWER: This nice Tuscan Village fountain is sturdy free standing, self-supported, with plain (non-decorated) back. Beautiful front, top and sides antique design. I placed mine amongst the redwood trees in my front park on a 9'' concrete pad over soft ground. John
the water pressure seems high resulting in water being splashed over the front of the unit. Any suggested remedy?
Henry O on Aug 3, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Hi, the water pump has a small knob to adjust the water flow. Decreasing it will help slightly.
I just purchased and installed this nice Tuscan Village fountain and now filled it with water. I looks great and works good. Maybe too good, that is, that small little pump really putts out the water. I like the curved flow from the top but I would not say it is a tranquil trickle. It's more like your kitchen sink full open without an airiator. That full stream of water coming out striking the basin just about one inch short of the rim. It's more like pushing a somewhat greater flow over the center overflow lip. Not really bad but certainly not tranquil. Just seems like more velocity than necessary. That's one healthy little pump. I tried to throttle it down by adjusting the filter-screen on the pump intake from full open to very close to lowest stop and it made no difference. I left it at about 20 to 25% open. Not bad, but I installed a 3/4" 45-degree PVC water pipe elbow onto the water outlet spigot. That only brought the point of impact back one inch. So I then installed a 90-degree elbow, fits snug stays put with no glue perfect. The flow is now straight down about 6" back from rim at center of basin. I'll paint that elbow a flat bronze color and call the problem fixed. Now I still have a question. That's a lot of water coming out. The pump is quiet under a foot of water. What is the flow rate on that pump? Do I need a smaller pump? Or should I install a variable rheostat in the electrical power supply? Any suggestions? Thanks, John.
John W on May 23, 2018
BEST ANSWER: The pump included is recommended to be used by the manufacturer and rated for 190 GPH.
How many gallons of water does it hold?

I live in Alaska. Is the fountain durable enough to be left out all winter? It will,be against a wall on the deck.
A shopper on Jul 16, 2017
BEST ANSWER: It is not recommended to leave the fountain outside below freezing temperatures as the resin can crack from the cold. We recommend to empty the fountain and store indoors for winter.
Do you have a video showing how to drain the fountain for cleaning it?
A shopper on Jul 16, 2017
BEST ANSWER: The easiest way to remove the water from a large fountain is to take an extra pump or the existing pump in the fountain to remove the water from the basin. By attaching a long tube to the extra pump and lowering the pump into the basin you can then pump the water out of the fountain.
Does this fountain have lights?

BEST ANSWER: No, this fountain does not have a light. However, we have lots of options in lighted fountains. You can view them all here: https://www.lampsplus.com/products/fountains/type_lighted/
I am looking for a durable fountain that looks nice but provides water for my large dogs. I live in az so the water evaporates quickly, is the fountain safe for them to drink out of and would the reservoir last with them drinking all day if I refilled each morning?
Rebecca W on Jun 24, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Hello Rebecca! This fountain does have a large reservoir. If you rinse it well and replace the water on a regular basis, this fountain should work for the purpose you intend with your dogs. Hope this helps!

Great fountain, love it already
I put this fountain in my yard, and it's perfect against my wall with vines growing up it. It took about 10-15 minutes to unpack it and assemble it. Very, very easy to do. It's really light, because it's fake wood and stone, so it was easy to put in my car by myself and bring it home from the store. You don't hear the motor at all. In real life, it looks exactly as pictured on the website. It looks about as good as the "fake" ones can... while nothing beats the look of real stone, this same fountain made of the real stuff would have been about $2,000 based on my shopping around. I'm very pleased with this purchase and have no negative things to say about it yet. I just bought it yesterday, so I can't comment as to its durability with time and weather, nor the quality of the motor.

Pros: Quiet Motor, Easy Set-up, Attractive Design

Backyard Fountain
The Fountain is a relaxing addition to our backyard.
The only improvement I recommend is adding a bottom drain plug. It is difficult to drain and clean.

Pros: Relaxing, Attractive Design, Easy Set-up, Quiet Motor

Cons: Hard To Clean

just as pictured
I wanted a wall fountain for the front of my house and this is just what I was looking for. The colors match exactly to the picture and it is definitely big enough to fill the space I needed it for.

Beautiful - but prevent peeling paint before filling
This is a truly handsome fountain with its rustic finish; it lends an oasis feel to my patio and brings me much joy. It gives a very satisfying splashy sound which fills the patio area, and yet outside the fenced area it is hardly audible, so I don't have to worry about disturbing my condo neighbors. Although I had added both the algaecide and the Protec scale and stain remover, the water became very cloudy, so I emptied it of all water and allowed the surface to dry so I could clean it properly. That is when I noticed that the paint in the upper bowl was cracking and peeling off (see photo). So if you get this fountain (and it's really a beauty), be prepared to cover the inside of that upper bowl with a layer of clear acrylic paint or some such sealant so that the paint is protected. Otherwise, you will be faced with a repair job like I am up to at this time.

Looks great
We just put this in our backyard adjacent to our patio. It looks great (just like the picture). My only complaints are that it looks like draining/cleaning the fountain could be a bit difficult. Also, there should be washers to attach to the bolts when the pieces are put together. I will add these to our fountain to make it more sturdy. If it's right against a wall, it would probably be okay. Ours sits out about a foot from the fence, so it looks a little wobbly.

First Choise
This is a most attractive fountain! But, I will have to say the construction appeared to me at first quite crude. I assembled it and stood there looking at it for a few minutes and said to myself "Well, the design is intended to be antique and I will accept that". But I still think they over did it. When looking for an antique, I would prefer it to be in best condition, not worn out or abused. But the style is good and the price is right and I like it. I am going to install a nice LED lighting system. i
