Be Careful With This Purchase
I purchased this lamp in March of 2014 and the top bulb stopped functioning. A close inspection revealed that the wiring had disolved. This was using a 150 Watt bulb, lower than recommended. I purchased this for half of what it is listed for now. Maybe there have been improvements, but please be aware that this product can be faulty and you are taking a real chance here.

Pros: Stylish

Cons: Poorly Engineered

Cons: Hard to assemble

Best Uses: For Detailed Close Work, Dark Corners, Reading, Living Room, Bedside, Ambient Room Light

stylish halogen
I recently bought this light for my son to use when he plays piano. It matches our living room furnishing. But the adjustable side lights are not bright enough for reading since it cannot be too close to his piano book. And the switch adjusts both side lights so you cannot use just one. It does not feel very sturdy as the one I bought from [...].

Pros: Easy Assembly, Artistic Design, Sturdy

Cons: Flimsy Construction

Best Uses: Reading, Dark Corners

Task and Up Lighting
I was looking for a multi-purpose free-standing light for my husband's office/den to up-light a dark corner and provide reading light. It had to also be easy to turn on/off. I got all that plus all three lights are on a separate dimmer switch. Very practical and stylish! Thanks...

Pros: Easy To Clean, Area Of Illumination, Convenient On/Off, Long Cord, Artistic Design, Stylish

Cons: Difficult To Change Bulbs, Lights become hot

Best Uses: Reading, Dark Corners

Works great, bulbs are hard to find
This product is my main light in my bedroom. The arms are good to rotate the light in certain areas. However, I've found out that the bulbs burn out too fast. I've had to change the bulbs twice already. I also had a problem finding a 175 Watt halogen light bulb at the hardware store. The max watt that the halogen light could take is 180watts so anything above that range will not work on the main light. The 150watt halogen bulbs are too dim. The only place that I've been able to find a replacement 175 watt bulb is with Lamps Plus and its expensive. The hardware store bulbs cost less but didn't have the 175watt bulb. Wierd. Had to buy three 175watt replacement bulbs to save me the trip back to Lamps plus since I know the bulb will probably burn out within the next couple of months again. They should have made the max watt for the main light at least 200watts so that its easier for the customer to find a replacement bulb.

Pros: Convenient On/Off, Long Cord, Artistic Design

Cons: Low Wattage, Limited Illumination, 175 watt halogen bulb

I wish I could say something good.
I bought this lamp at the Laguna Hills, CA store and this one the only pleasent part of my buying experience. They were very thoughtful and helpful. When I returned my lamp for a full refund they did not give me a hard time. I would definitely shop here again.

Pros: Area of Illumination

Cons: Flimsy Construction

Poorly Made, Returned
Very poorly made. I bought one, liked it and bought another, only to find that the "black box" in the cord designed to keep it from overheating caused the top light to cut off in just a second. Same defect on two lamps. ANd the switch on the cord for the lower lights came loose after a short time. THey offered to send a lower wattage bulb for the top. Great hassle to return these internet purchases. Do Not Buy!

Pros: Sturdy, Artistic Design

Cons: Flimsy Construction, Top Light Cut Off

great all purpose lighting
The 2-level lighting is perfect. The top light illuminates the room and the bottom 2 lights light up the computer desk for easy reading and working. The dimming switches give us the exact amount of light for what we need at any given time. The fact that the 2 bottom lights can be moved is a big plus.

Pros: Sturdy, Good Size, Area of Illumination, Artistic Design, Easy Assembly, Easy to Clean

Best Uses: Reading, Dark Corners
