BEST ANSWER: No - this is not a three-way socket. This includes an on/off socket switch. But, try adding a table top dimmer to provide that versatility you are looking for.

BEST ANSWER: Yes, it takes standard medium base bulb with a maximum of 100 watts. Of course, you can use any medium based bulb you like! You can you CFL or LED, whatever suits your needs.

Nice little set for the $$
These worked out great for my guest bedroom. A little bit short for some needs/tastes maybe but these lamps added a modern and comfortable feel to the room. I love the color of the metal; they match perfectly the brushed steel pulls on my bedside tables very nicely. They definitely look more expensive than they are. Thanks Lamps Plus! A great deal for 2 lamps plus shades. Definitely would buy again.

Perfect!

Excellent customer service!
I bought these to go on my side tables in our master bedroom. I wanted to downsize from my old ones. The size is perfect. They are solid lamps for the price. One of the shades was dented, and it was really visible when the light was on. I contacted customer service and they sent me a new one!
