Is this clear enough to put shells in?
Alicia M on Oct 27, 2017
BEST ANSWER: No, I wouldn't advise that for safety reasons. Also there is no way to attach shells. (Opaque not clear)
is the 60 watt limit per light bulb for normal light bulbs? Can i use LED light bulbs that are brighter than 60 watt? e.g. 100 watt equivalent?
lauren h on Aug 18, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Hi - there is a 60 watt limit per bulb. So you could use an LED that is equivalent to higher level incandescent bulb, just so long as the LED doesn't use more than 60 watts.
Are the lights dimmable?
A shopper on Jun 14, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Hi - this design does not have a dimmer, though you could add one if you'd like. Here's a link to some of the options: https://www.lampsplus.com/products/dimmers/type_floor-dimmer/

So Simple, So Stylish, So Functional
The photos on the site don't do justice to this very cool lamp.

I consider this a tall table lamp with a small footprint that gives great flexibility to placement...even fit with room to spare in an 8' ceiling area placed on a 31"H foyer table.

My living area with high vaulted ceilings never seemed bright enough although I've purchased enough table and floor lamps to open a store.

Now with 2 of these glowing non-glare tubes of light placed at different heights the space is finally functional and fits my eclectic style.

Assembly is not difficult, but the lamp shade with its 4 screws must be removed to change the bulbs. Buying the highest quality CFL bulbs is worth some extra cost. I'm using 23 watt (100 watt equivalent) dimmable CFLs with a CFL-specific lamp dimmer.

Since the lamp is translucent, the color temperature of the bulbs makes a difference in the effect. A 2700K throws an incandescent look, while the 5000K I chose gives a clear silver light.

Captivated by this lamp!

Pros: Area of Illumination, Artistic Design, Easy to Clean, Easy Assembly, Sturdy, Small Footprint, Good Size

Cons: Difficult to Change Bulb

Best Uses: Bedside, Dark Corners, Reading, Living Room, Decoration

Beautiful Piece of Art
So, my hubby and I just purchased (2) of these beautiful floor lamps for our bedroom (which seems to be pretty dark). We have only had them for 3 days, but I must say they are beautiful and bright! They do very nicely with our very modern home. They are like a piece of art themselves.

Pros: Easy to Clean, Good Size, Artistic Design, Sturdy, Easy Assembly, Area of Illumination

Best Uses: Decoration, Dark Corners

Artist Application of Acrylic Spun Lamps
I used four of these units in a none conventional way, they were mounted horizonatally with internal light harness cores and elements, then sealed and mounted to the back of a art car driven at the 2014 Burning Man event.

Pros: Good Size, Artistic Design, Sturdy

Interesting floor lamp
Very interesting lamp. It looks stylish, but because it is made out of spun acrylic, it looks a little cheap. You need to remove the shade (no easy task) to replace the bulb.
In the right setting, this lamp would work well.

Pros: Area of Illumination, Good Size, Artistic Design

Cons: Difficult to Clean, Difficult to Change Bulb

Best Uses: Living Room, Dark Corners, Decoration
