BEST ANSWER: Hi Delores - If all else fails, you can try putting in addition river rocks in the fountain to create more of a trickling effect.

A Desk Fountain that greatly exceeded my expectations!
This combination lamp and fountain is everything I imagined it would be and then some. As long as you use bottled water and maintain the levels, there is little to no noise from the fountain whatsoever. I read in past reviews people wanting more trickle from the water. I think the water sound that comes with the fountain being topped off being absolutely perfect and highly contributing to my zen I absolutely need while making Trading Decisions in the most volatile markets on earth. It’s been a great addition to my office desk decor, and I’d recommend this product to anyone interested or looking in this direction!

beautiful and relaxing
I enjoy this fountain but do wish the water sound was actually a bit louder. I use purified water so have not had to clean it yet and add a water bottle to it each week. I have played around with the position of the rocks in an effort to achieve more of a water trickle sound but it is very quiet overall (also, no the motor is quiet too which is great) but wish I could achieve a little bit more of the water trickle sound.
